Hi, I'm Mike Van Gilst, RN, NC-BC

 

I have been a Registered Nurse since 2010 and have had the honor of partnering with thousands of people suffering from just about every condition imaginable.  What I realized, however, is that so many people are stuck in the cycle of symptom mitigation, never treating the root causes, never knowing that the majority of those conditions were preventable or even reversible.  I decided to pivot my career and apply my skills and credentials to help people break free from their diagnoses, to move beyond their negative thought patterns, to get them to DREAM BIG and achieve wellness goals they never thought possible.  In short, to find their Inner Compass.

 

Over the course of my career, I have worked in social work, oversees missions, with religious organizations and secular ones, and in various nursing specialties spanning emergency/trauma, patient safety and performance improvement surgery, all of which were attempting to address the pain and suffering inherent in the human condition.  But none were a comprehensive approach. ​What I offer is a holistic approach to health and wellness coaching, addressing the interactive components of mind, body, and spirit, backed by over 25 years of experience in healthcare and the social sciences, and coaching board certification through the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation.
